Lisa is a member of the world-famous K-pop group Blackpink. She is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer, and model living in South Korea. She is BLACKPINK’s youngest member and the group’s dancing and rapping sensation. Lalisa is known for her immaculate bangs, vivacious personality, and effortless style. Lisa’s Early Career
Lisa is of Thai descent and grew up in Thailand’s Buriram Province. Originally Pranpriya, she later changed her name to Lalisa on the advice of a fortune teller in order to increase her prosperity.
Lisa auditioned for the YG Entertainment Competition when she was only 13 years old and was accepted. She won the competition and was approached by Yang Hyun-Suk. Yang wanted her to become a YG Entertainment trainee, and she accepted happily. She moved to South Korea in 2011 to begin her formal training in performing for her five-year K-Pop Idol career.
She adopted the stage name Lisa in 2016 and rose to prominence as the main dancer, lead rapper, supporting vocalist. Lisa is also maknae (youngest) of the K-pop girl group Blackpink. Lisa is also the first foreign YG Entertainment artist, as well as the first non-Korean YG Entertainment artist. On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she performed her solo song Lalisa. Lisa shared a Money performance video on BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel.
Lisa’s Endorsements
Lisa was chosen as the face of Celine, a French luxury brand. Lisa signed her first solo endorsement deal in 2019 when she was named the new brand presenter for AIS Thailand. She has been announced as the Samsung Galaxy S10 presenter in Thailand.

Lisa’s Impact and Influence
Lisa was named “Person of the Year” by The Standard in Thailand. Lisa surpassed Exo member Chanyeol to become the most-followed K-pop idol on Instagram. The star has an impressive 54.5 million Instagram followers, making her the most-followed member of Blackpink as well as the most-followed K-pop idol.
Lisa’s first solo magazine cover was for Harper’s Bazaar Thailand’s May 2019 issue. Unsurprisingly, all 120,000 printed copies in stock were sold out. According to reports, 30,000 copies are typically printed, with well-known celebrities receiving 60,000 copies on average.
Lisa attended the Celine Fashion Show for Men’s Spring Summer 2020 collection in Paris, France, during Paris Fashion Week. Lyst reported that global searches for Celine’s Triomphe bag increased by 66% after she shared an image of the style on social media, gaining public attention.

Believe it or not, Lisa is a keen thrifter who enjoys finding unique vintage finds to supplement her wardrobe. Lisa was chosen out of 4,000 Thai girls to be a trainee in Korea, despite the fact that she did not speak a word of Korean. But she worked extremely hard during the 5-year trainee program, and it paid off. Lisa can now communicate in Korean, English, Thai, Japanese, and also some Chinese!
